There are few moments in an author’s journey that feel as surreal as the day their book goes public — and my interview on Arkansas Style marked the official launch of my new book, Market Like a Boss. Sitting on that set, talking about the heart behind this project, I felt equal parts grateful, excited, and proud of how far this dream has come.
This blog post pulls back the curtain on what we discussed, why this book matters, and what’s next now that the launch is finally here.
Why I Wrote Market Like a Boss
Marketing can feel overwhelming — especially for small business owners who are juggling everything themselves. I’ve spent 12+ years in the industry watching entrepreneurs try their best, but still:
struggle to stay consistent
wonder why their efforts aren’t working
copy what competitors are doing
or feel lost in the chaos of algorithms and trends
I wrote Market Like a Boss as a guidebook that simplifies marketing into something clear, doable, and strategic. It’s the resource I wish I had when I started.
Highlights From the Arkansas Style Interview
On the show, we dove into the purpose and power behind the book. A few key points we covered:
1. Marketing Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
I shared why the most effective marketing comes from:
knowing your audience
being authentic
focusing on quality over quantity
showing up consistently
The host loved the idea that small businesses don’t need a massive budget—they just need a roadmap. That roadmap is this book.
2. The Stories Behind the Strategies
One of my favorite interview moments was talking about real businesses I’ve helped: the wins, the lessons, and the patterns I’ve seen over and over again.
Market Like a Boss includes actual examples, step-by-step instructions, templates, and mindset shifts that help any business create visibility and momentum.
3. Why This Book Matters for Arkansas Entrepreneurs
Arkansas has a unique small-business community — one that thrives on relationships, reputation, and local influence. On air, I emphasized how this book is not just for marketing experts; it's for:
boutique owners
service providers
real estate teams
contractors
medical spas
artists and makers
and anyone who wants to grow their brand with intention
My goal is simple: help Arkansas businesses market more confidently and effectively.
Before filming, I sat in the green room holding my book, thinking about the girl who started her marketing journey at 18 years old. That girl had no idea she’d one day write a book — much less talk about it on TV.
Walking onto the Arkansas Style set felt like a full-circle moment: proof that every chapter of hard work led me right here.
