The Marketing Broker Founder Joins Club 99, Arkansas’ Oldest Rotary Club

Leadership is about more than running a business. It is about serving others, building relationships, and finding opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Shelby McFarland, founder of The Marketing Broker, is continuing her commitment to leadership and service as a new member of the Rotary Club of Little Rock, also known as Club 99.

Established as the 99th Rotary Club to be chartered in the world, Rotary Club of Little Rock is the oldest Rotary Club in Arkansas. The organization has a long history of bringing together community leaders who are committed to service, professional development, and making a difference locally and globally.

For Shelby, joining Club 99 represents the next chapter in a relationship with Rotary that has been meaningful since she first became involved in 2017.

A History of Leadership and Service With Rotary

Shelby’s involvement with Rotary has always been centered around leadership, growth, and serving others.

Throughout her years with Rotary, she has:

Served as a Rotary Club President

Completed the Jeff Farris Leadership Program

Served on district committees

Become a Paul Harris Fellow

Participated in the Heart2Heart Initiative trip to Mexico

These experiences have helped shape Shelby’s approach to leadership, both personally and professionally.

Through her work at The Marketing Broker, Shelby helps businesses build stronger marketing strategies, communicate their stories, and create meaningful connections with their audiences. Many of those same principles apply to community leadership: listening, building relationships, and creating opportunities for growth.

Why Community Involvement Matters for Business Leaders

Successful business leaders understand that growth is not just about what happens inside a company. It is also about the relationships and connections built throughout the community.

Organizations like Rotary provide opportunities for professionals to:

Connect with other local leaders

Develop leadership skills

Give back through service projects

Support meaningful community initiatives

Build relationships beyond business transactions

For small business owners and entrepreneurs, community involvement can be a powerful way to better understand the people and organizations they serve.

Continuing a Commitment to Leadership in Little Rock

Service has always been an important value for Shelby, and her continued involvement with Rotary reflects her dedication to helping others and strengthening the business community.

As she begins this next chapter with Rotary Club of Little Rock, she looks forward to connecting with fellow members, contributing to community initiatives, and continuing to grow as a leader.

At The Marketing Broker, the mission has always been about helping businesses succeed through strategic marketing and meaningful relationships. Shelby’s involvement with Club 99 is another example of that commitment in action.
